This is a diary of living on Lanes Cove, a small cove in the Lanesville area of Gloucester Massachusetts.
talked to paul b he said the bonfire is on .. confirm
Great--I'll ask around and see what's up. I see a few pieces of scrap wood (and a grand piano) piled up on the site of the bonfire, but I think they are "donations" from folks. If there is some activity then I'll point the webcam over that way.
Oh, this is fun! I'm looking forward to it, Stan! Thanks!
We love your webcam views and especially your live stream. I hope you'll keep the live stream up and running permanently. We also hope to stop by and say hello when we're up there in August.

where's the bonfire :?
A very good question. This originally started out to broadcast the bonfire in Lanes Cove on the 4th of July--which we did for a couple years until the event got out of hand. This year (2010), the bonfire was canceled. Now I just broadcast the activities around Lanes Cove--mainly the dock in the summer and a little broader shot in the winter so you can watch the waves and spray break across the breakwater.
