Bleak, but Beautiful

Lovely morning on Lanes Cove--a little below freezing, not much wind and just a lovely view.

  • Hi,

I recently made your webcam page my homepage, so you may see a spike in hits on that, becasue I love checking the sky and water from my desk in Boston.

I recently moved to Gloucester, at the end of last September. I live down 127 from you a little ways, near Annisquam but right on 127. When I walk out to where I can get the big sky and water view, it is very much like what's on your webcam. And I love checking on your weather readings too. Thanks for putting it all online so neatly and simply.

Have you ever made a fast motion video of a 24 hour period of webcam pictures? It would be so cool to see a storm come and go or a spectacular sunset in fast motion. Just a thought. Thanks for the great home page.

  • Well, the Lanes Cove can’t get any better, now we have a Day SPA in Lanesville!!! Is a fantastic place for relaxation and piece of mind. You have to go by and meet the owners that by the way are very, very nice.

  • I found your blog through Good Morning Gloucester. I love that Gloucester has a whole little series of blogs about life on the Cape.

I recently found a way to add the tidal charts to my own blog. If you'd like to do the same, I can send you the code. It's a neat gadget.

    Thanks for the posts!

  • I check in now and again, to refresh my mind of home. It's good to see all that open water, thanks for all your efforts.

  • Thanks for all the comments--I'm glad that people enjoy the webcam and the unique nature of our little village hidden away here on Cape Ann.
