Stripers!

Fishing for striped bass is a big deal around here. Besides tuna (off-shore, really big fish) and bluefish, the stripers really start the season. We were watching the cove this morning a saw pools of ripples on the surface. These were schools of herring (maybe mackerel) that were being hunted by bigger fish--which had to be stripers. We've noticed people fishing off of the breakwater recently, no doubt trying to catch their first striper of the season.
